Project Title:

Alarm IQ - ML deployment for troubleshooting effective of alarms or Advanced Process Control (APC)

Project Objective:

The Digital Manufacturing team oversees the deployment of consistent and efficient digital infrastructure and data quality to realise digital transformation across the Global Foundries Fabs worldwide. As we aspire to increase productivity and agility, AI/ML is becoming an increasingly important tool to derive insights for thousands of tools in the Fab. Digital and analytics lends tremendous potential to optimize cost, increase output and productivity by implementing ML models for troubleshooting effective of alarms or Advanced Process Control (APC).

Project Description:

Alarm IQ aims to leverage on ML models to identify signature in FDC data to categorize, perform root cause analysis and propose actions to technicians/engineer to either completely eliminate the alarm from occurring, or the most effective action to address the alarm.

Project Outcome:

Through internship in Digital Manufacturing, interns gain hands-on experience in dealing with complex datasets, interpreting data with semicon domain knowledges and rolling out solutions that create impact to the organization. Some of the job scope may include:

• Using machine learning and other data mining techniques to get insights from massive equipment data

• Leveraging LLM or NLP techniques to understand the unstructured data

• Working with domain expert to explore and understand the data

• Writing production level code in python

• Develop POC with product owners to help on the ideation of new GenAI based product

• Conduct R&D technology watch/monitoring on the latest approaches in generative AI and agent-based systems

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering / Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE)/Information Technology/Data Science and Artificial Intelligence or any related disciplines

• Skills in Python programming

• Skills in Data Manipulation

This application is for students undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from June 2026 onwards.
