Summary of Role

The University Recruiting team at Global Foundries is seeking a University Relations (UR) Specialist to join our team! In this dynamic role, you will serve as a brand ambassador and the face of GF while supporting recruiting efforts in Singapore, supporting the internship program, and leading the brand ambassador program. You will play a critical role in attracting diverse and exceptional early talent, driving engagement with interns and entry-level hires, and strengthening GF’s employer brand across the region. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a creative mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities Include

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Support end-to-end recruiting for Singapore and APAC-based roles, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Institutes of Higher Learning (ITE, polytechnics, universities), faculty, administrators, and student organizations.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for educational institutions and act as a liaison between the business and academic partners.

  • Implement sourcing strategies to identify top talent, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

  • Internship Program Management

Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of the Singapore internship program, ensuring a positive experience for interns.

  • Coordinate onboarding, engagement activities, and performance feedback for interns.

  • Partner with business leaders to identify internship opportunities and conversion strategies.

  • Brand Ambassador Program

Develop and manage the brand ambassador program to enhance GF’s presence on campuses.

  • Recruit, train, and engage student ambassadors to represent GF at events and on social media.

  • Track program success and provide regular reporting.

  • Employer Branding & Campus Engagement

Represent GF at career fairs, networking events, and campus activities in Singapore and the region.

  • Create and share engaging content for recruitment campaigns and social media.

  • Operational Excellence

Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidates and maintain accurate records.

  • Share local market intelligence and trends with key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate across teams to support early talent recruitment events and strategic outreach initiatives.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, HR, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Recruiting, Human Resources, Program Management, Marketing, or related area.

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or ability to quickly adapt to new platforms.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience in HR, recruiting, or program management.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.

  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or professional settings.

  • Project management skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
