Introduction:

As a Layout Engineer at Global Foundries Kolkata, you will work on gallium nitride and other power semiconductor technologies, contributing to custom p-cell development and layout of devices and circuits and supporting tapeout engineering work. We are looking for candidates with relevant work experience and good programming skills.

Job role:

• Manual and automated layouts of analog/power devices and circuits

• Custom P-cell development

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Tech-Development, Design, PDK, and Tapeout Teams

• Document work progress through technical reports and presentations and to file patents

• Perform additional job-related tasks assigned by the direct manager

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in ECE or related field

• Work Experience: 4-6 years of relevant industry experience

• Expertise with layout tools (editor, DRC, PEX, and LVS)

• Programming proficiency for p-cell development (SKILL coding or equivalent)

• Programming skills for layout automation

• Good understanding of semiconductor technology and physical design EDA tools

• Language Fluency

• English (written and verbal)
