Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns are our talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Project Title:

Design Enablement and PDK function Optimization:

Project Objective:

This project aims to enhance Design enablement user experience, by looking into and investigate customer PDK questions to optimize solution for real world design issue.

Project Description:

  • Assist the PDK developers on the real time project, under dedicated mentors’ instruction- Create his/her own working environment in Linux/Unix, learn to use EDA tools like Cadence Virtuoso create test design layout and schematic

  • Learn to run DRC, LVS, Parasitic Extraction to perform design physical verification, and study on report analysis to verify the PDK function as it expected from input specifications

Project Outcome:

In this project, the intern would gain real-world experience in a semiconductor industry not only close to circuit design environment but also exposure to physical world of foundry products on wafer/die to compare design vs silicon. In addition, the intern would have the experience of using the latest EDA vendor tools like cadence Virtuoso, Siemens Calibre DRC, LVS, xRC, Synopsys StarRC, Cadence Quantus to perform daily work and Windows Excel for data collection and analysis.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or relevant electronics material science

This application is for students undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from June 2026 onwards.
