Introduction:
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer's responsibilities are
to ensure that technologies, products, processes, and quality requirements are effectively transferred from the POR fab to the receiving fab during the installation, qualification, and production phases. They are spanned across several technological stages and areas, typically involving cross-functional teams. This role ensures a smooth transition while maintaining compliance with quality requirements from process installation and qualification to full production.
Your Job:
-
Ensure and enforce the receiving fab’s compliance and consistent execution according to quality requirements (PCRB / MRB / ICAR / ISHARE / FMEA / MSA).

Perform periodic audits to ensure the receiving fab’s compliance with ISO9001, IATF 16949 QMS, VDA6.3, and automotive requirements.

Maintain synchronization in both technology and QMS automotive requirements.

Participate in the receiving fab’s change management review; bring back decisions to the POR fab for final approval and ensure closed-loop follow-up in both fabs.

Participate in the receiving fab’s MRB review for NC material disposition; bring back decisions to the POR fab for final approval and ensure closed-loop follow-up in both fabs.
-
Enforce customer-specific requirements (CuSR) at the receiving fab.
-
Track and publish operational KPIs and customer reports in a timely manner.
-
Utilize structural problem-solving skills for quality-related incidents.
-
Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance system/workflow robustness, overall quality, speed, and cost of operations.
-
Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and collaborate with business functions to implement corrective actions.
-
Customer First: Manage and deliver customers’ needs and expectations by working closely with the receiving fab, POR fab, and customers.
-
Customer audit: Work closely with the quality department of both the POR and receiving fabs to deliver successful audits for product pre-launch.

Work closely with the technical team and receiving fab to resolve challenges that arise during process installation, qualification, and product yield and ramp.

Build and maintain a strong relationship with the receiving fab to meet project goals and ensure compliance with QMS automotive requirements.
Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher with experience in the semiconductor industry (Process Integration and yield) or related field
-
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in strategic partnerships or product development within the semiconductor industry or related technology sectors.

Auditor experience or certified ISO/IATF/VDA Auditor is a plus
-
Fast learner, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Proven track record of successfully managing complex partnerships and driving business growth.

Strong understanding of the semiconductor market dynamics in Greater China.
-
Excellent negotiation skills with a results-oriented mindset.
-
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
-
Provide consistent and clear communication between all project stakeholders and report on progress to the senior leadership team.

Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with international and diverse teams and with multiple levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing automotive quality issues and supply chain
-
Hands on experience on problem solving/troubleshooting skills

Working knowledge with the requirements of ISO9001, IATF 16949 QMS, VDA6.3 and Automotive requirements.

Work experience with multi-national and cross functional environments

Possess the right attitude to get results with a Growth Mindset

Strong team player with a positive attitude and proactive work ethic. Ability to identify opportunities and independent pursue.
