Introduction

The Design Enablement group is seeking a candidate for the position of Engineer to join its team in Penang. This position will play an essential role in developing Process Design Kit (PDK) collateral to support Global Foundries process technologies and is critical in enabling quick and accurate design cycles for customers.

Your Job

  • Develop and validate PDK collateral of major EDA vendors (Synopsys, Siemens and Cadence).
  • Maintain, enhance and create the development and validation flows and automation to ensure high operational efficiency and best-in-class quality for PDKs.
  • Shows initiative and creativity resulting in high degree of innovation while showing the capacity to solve major problems of an advanced complexity within his/her area of expertise.
  • Provide prompt feedback and resolution to PDK-related queries from field engineers and customers.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or in a related field from an accredited university from 2025 /2026 pass out.
  • Working experience in major EDA tools for design schematic/layout, Design-Rule-Check (DRC), Layout-vs-Schematic (LVS), simulation (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso/PVS/Spectre, Siemens Calibre/DESIGNrev, Synopsys Hspice).
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor device layouts.
  • Good knowledge of scripting and/or programming in shell, Perl or Python.
