Introduction:

As the Technology Transfer Process Integration Engineer, you will play a critical role in installing, matching, characterizing and qualifying process sub-loops of FEOL, NVM, MOL and BEOL respectively which eventually to be integrated into product full flow. Individuals will have to work very closely with process integration, unit module development, industrial, facility, production control and quality engineers of receiving fab, GF on-site supports and POR fab to deliver technological milestones for production ramps in receiving fab in the stipulated timeline.

Introduction:

To ensure that technologies, products and processes are effectively transferred from POR fab to receiving fab from installation, qualification and production phase. The integration engineer’s responsibility involves several technology stages and areas, typically involve in cross-functional team, ensuring smooth transition from process installation, qualification to full production. Here’s a general breakdown of responsibilities:

  • Technology Transfer: Well verse of cross fab technology transfer methodology and diligently follow BKMs
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain a strong relationship with receiving fab in meeting project goals.
  • Diligently follow technology transfer methodology & BKM.
  • Ensure that the transferred process is ready for large-scale production.
  • Act as the bridge between POR and Receiving fab.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) & Control: Ensure the process meets quality and reliability standards.
  • Training & Documentation: Train receiving fab staff on the transferred technology and ensure that all documentation is up to date.
  • Continuous Improvement & Scaling: After the initial tech transfer, continuous improvement efforts are crucial for scaling up production.
  • In a semiconductor fab, seamless integration is vital. The tech transfer process requires close coordination across these functional areas to minimize downtime, ensure quality, and optimize production efficiency.

Your Job:

  • Tech Transfer workshop coordination of respective loops (FEOL, NVM, MOL, BEOL)
  • Facilitate process route, reticles, starting material, process, metrology recipe, qual plan and electrical test program transfer from POR fab
  • Coordinate of integrated loop level tech transfer meeting
  • Coordinate integrated short loop flow & lot exchange between POR and receiving fab
  • Conduct recipe matching activities at loop level (Electrical of device & reliability, Physical, defect density). Resolve integrated loop level process mis-matching issue
  • Recipe control, release and change management
  • Managing the transfer process, ensuring that all technical documentation, such as process flows, recipe details, and equipment specifications, is transferred
  • To work closely with receiving fab to resolve challenges surfaced up during process installation, qualification and product yield and ramp
  • To coordinate pre-ramp workshops for process frozen and risk production phase
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with receiving fab in meeting the project goals
  • Qualify and pass loop level reliability requirement with comparable performance to POR fab
  • Match device / PEX model of POR fab
  • Match IP performance of POR fab
  • Customer First: To manage and deliver customers’ needs and expectations by working closely with receiving fab, POR fab and customers
  • Customer audit: Work closely with the quality department of both POR and receiving fab to deliver successful audit for product pre-launch

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with experience in the semiconductor industry (Process Integration and yield) or related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in strategic partnerships or product development within the semiconductor industry or related technology sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex partnerships and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the semiconductor market dynamics in Greater China.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Provide consistent and clear communication between all project stakeholders and report on progress to the senior leadership team.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with international and diverse teams and with multiple levels of management.
  • Fluency in Mandarin (Chinese) and English is required, written & verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product management and domain knowledge of automotive, IoT and consumer electronic systems
  • Understanding of advanced CMOS, power application, embedded NVM processes features
  • Experience managing automotive quality issues and supply chain
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and proactive work ethic. Ability to identify opportunities and independent pursue.
