Introduction:

The Modern Workplace Engineer – Employee Productivity AI role provides operational expertise for Microsoft 365 services, focusing on AI-driven productivity solutions. This role will report into the Director of Intelligent Workspace that includes administration and governance of Share Point, Power Platform, Viva Suite, and Copilot. The role ensures compliance, service reliability, and adoption of modern workplace technologies to enhance employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on development of Copilot Agents. Familiar with pro-code development methodology and copilot connectors using Copilot Studio

• Implement governance policies for Copilot agents and Power Platform environments.

• Administer Power Platform environments (Dev/Test/Prod), enforce DLP policies, and monitor compliance.

• Configure and maintain Viva Connections/Home and Share Point portals, including audience targeting and content governance.

• Operate service reliability runbooks for Share Point/Teams and validate Copilot readiness for meeting experiences.

• Collaborate with Security teams to package evidence for compliance audits and manage platform-security escalations.

• Maintain analytics dashboards for adoption and compliance across Copilot, Viva, and Power Platform.

Required Qualifications:

• 4–7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 engineering with hands-on Power Platform administration.

• Experience operating Copilot Studio per governance standards and managing ALM in Managed Environments.

• Strong knowledge of Share Point architecture, Viva Suite configuration, and Teams integration.

• Experience implementing security-aligned governance (labels, DLP, audit) and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI-driven productivity tools and automation including emerging integration options including MCP (Model Context Protocol)

• Familiarity with enterprise governance frameworks and security best practices.
