Project Title:

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Deployment for Predictive Maintenance in GF Digital Manufacturing

Project Objective:

The Digital Manufacturing team oversees the deployment of consistent and efficient digital infrastructure and data quality to realise digital transformation across the Global Foundries Fabs worldwide. As we aspire to increase productivity and agility, AI/ML is becoming an increasingly important tool to derive insights for thousands of tools in the Fab. Digital and analytics lends tremendous potential to optimize cost, increase output and productivity by implementing predictive analytics for tool maintenance. Intern will develop prediction model to accelerate predictive maintenance solutions for prioritized tools in Digital Manufacturing

Project Description:

Interns will get exclusive insights and hands-on experience in Global Foundries’ state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing environment. Through internship in Digital Manufacturing, interns gain a deeper understanding about digital transformation at scale, elevating the organization’s performance. Some of the job scope may include:

• Analyze and interpret complex datasets.

• Use advanced analytics tools, algorithms, and machine learning techniques to make predictions and decisions from vast amounts of data.

• Develop different predictive models for evaluation. Assess the final predictive models to be used and tune it to the best accuracy.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to refine requirements and providing them with relevant data insight and predictive results.

Project Outcome:

In the project, the intern would gain real-world experience working on industrial-based projects to enhance programming skillset; develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills to approach challenges systematically and creatively; acquire good presentation skills and collaborate and co-work in a dynamic team setting.

Required Qualifications:

-Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE)/Information Technology/Data Science and Artificial Intelligence or any related disciplines

• Strong theoretical knowledge of key areas in Artificial Intelligence

• Skills in Python programming, Data Manipulation and Visualization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data Science

This application is for students undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from June 2026 onwards.
