• Summary of Role:Global Foundries in Essex, VT is looking for a Sr. Lab Technician who has a 2 year degree with up to 5 years of experience working in a characterization lab. Responsibilities include running the lab tools, taking measurements for DC / S-parameter / Noise parameters/ Loadpull in the lab. The technician will be expected to work with the in-house software used as the test executive in the lab. This role is fully on-site at our 200mm semiconductor manufacturing facility, in building 966. The schedule will be a Monday
• Friday daytime schedule.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate high end tools in the Lab and take measurements at device level for specific test conditions as provided by the technology team or the modeling team
• Collaborate with your team to help with specific workloads such as logging the wafers in the lab in our lab software tools
• Assisting with tool calibration and maintenance
• Continued learning of new skill sets within the lab environment to help with new and exciting testing capabilities; developing more efficient processes
• Cross functional collaboration with other teams for problem solving & debugging

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
• Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• 2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline
• Experience - minimum 2-5 years experience in a Fabricator setting and/or working with electronics
• Must have a science background with the capacity to grasp new concepts and apply them during the measurements
• Possesses strong organizational skills to assist with logistics in the lab
• Excellent and effective communication skills
• Language Fluency – English (both Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrate coding skills and interest in coding
• Demonstrate technical skills and knowledge of semiconductor process and equipment
• Motivation to learn new concepts and be a team player

Expected Salary Range

$48,200.00 - $83,200.00
