About Glean: Founded in 2019, Glean is an innovative AI-powered knowledge management platform designed to help organizations quickly find, organize, and share information across their teams. By integrating seamlessly with tools like Google Drive, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, Glean ensures employees can access the right knowledge at the right time, boosting productivity and collaboration. The company’s cutting-edge AI technology simplifies knowledge discovery, making it faster and more efficient for teams to leverage their collective intelligence.

Glean was born from Founder & CEO Arvind Jain’s deep understanding of the challenges employees face in finding and understanding information at work. Seeing firsthand how fragmented knowledge and sprawling SaaS tools made it difficult to stay productive, he set out to build a better way - an AI-powered enterprise search platform that helps people quickly and intuitively access the information they need. Since then, Glean has evolved into the leading Work AI platform, combining enterprise-grade search, an AI assistant, and powerful application- and agent-building capabilities to fundamentally redefine how employees work.

About the Role Title:

Industry Principal, CPG / Retail / Manufacturing

Reporting line: This role reports to the VP of Solutions Engineering.

We’re hiring an Industry Principal to own our strategy and field execution across Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, and Manufacturing. You’ll be the domain catalyst connecting market problems—like supply chain resilience, merchandising and marketing productivity, quality and operations excellence, and frontline/associate enablement—to Glean’s Work AI capabilities. Externally, you’ll engage executives, influence deals, and elevate our thought leadership. Internally, you’ll enable the field with repeatable plays and inform product‑solution fit through tight feedback loops. Modeled on top AI vendors’ industry leadership roles, you’ll drive industry value narratives and content that accelerates pipeline and win‑rate.

You Will:

  • Lead with industry outcomes: map CRM‑specific pain points (e.g., demand/supply volatility, merchandising productivity, store/plant operations, quality and compliance, partner/supplier knowledge) to high‑impact Work AI solutions.

  • Engage executives across COO/CIO/CTO/Chief Supply Chain/Chief Merchandising/Chief Digital/Data/AI leaders; guide strategic roadmaps balancing innovation with safety, governance, and change management.

  • Build and scale repeatable industry plays with value messaging, ROI frameworks, blueprints, and references tailored to CPG, retail, and manufacturing archetypes.

  • Publish and present thought leadership (blogs, whitepapers, conference talks) that showcases Work AI impact across product lifecycle, supply chain, store/plant operations, and customer experience.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and PMM to shape packaged solutions and agent templates for CRM use cases; codify learnings into sales kits and solution accelerators.

  • Orchestrate an extended, virtual tiger team across SE, Partners, CS, and Marketing to drive pipeline coverage, ACV, win‑rate, and time‑to‑value.

  • Support analyst engagement and competitive positioning to reinforce our leadership narrative in enterprise Work AI for CRM.

About You:

  • 10+ years in CPG, retail, and/or manufacturing—experience within a brand/retailer/manufacturer or as a consultant/industry solutions leader at a technology company.

  • Executive presence with a strong POV on how AI and agentic workflows unlock value across product lifecycle, supply chain, merchandising/marketing, and operations.

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI/LLMs and the data/security considerations in large‑scale operational environments; able to translate business needs into solution architectures and adoption roadmaps.

  • Proven track record building vertical narratives and content; adept at enabling field teams and partners with industry plays.

  • Thrive in fast‑moving, cross‑functional settings; bias to collaboration and measurable

Location:
