About Glean:
Founded in 2019, Glean is an innovative AI-powered knowledge management platform designed to help organizations quickly find, organize, and share information across their teams. By integrating seamlessly with tools like Google Drive, Slack, and Microsoft Teams, Glean ensures employees can access the right knowledge at the right time, boosting productivity and collaboration. The company’s cutting-edge AI technology simplifies knowledge discovery, making it faster and more efficient for teams to leverage their collective intelligence.
Glean was born from Founder & CEO Arvind Jain’s deep understanding of the challenges employees face in finding and understanding information at work. Seeing firsthand how fragmented knowledge and sprawling SaaS tools made it difficult to stay productive, he set out to build a better way - an AI-powered enterprise search platform that helps people quickly and intuitively access the information they need. Since then, Glean has evolved into the leading Work AI platform, combining enterprise-grade search, an AI assistant, and powerful application- and agent-building capabilities to fundamentally redefine how employees work.
About the Role:
Glean is seeking an experienced Billing Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead cross-functional programs across billing, invoicing, payments, and revenue operations at Glean. You will sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Finance, Rev Ops, and GTM, owning multi-quarter initiatives that evolve how we monetize Glean: from pricing and packaging and usage-based/seat-based models, to billing infrastructure, tax & compliance integrations, and reporting and controls. This is a highly visible role where you will drive clarity in ambiguity, design and run rigorous execution frameworks, and ensure we can ship reliable, compliant, and scalable billing capabilities that keep pace with our product and business growth.
You will:
-
Own and drive end-to-end technical programs across the Billing & Revenue domain – from problem definition and scoping, through design, implementation, launch, and post-launch stabilization.
-
Translate business strategy (e.g., new pricing/packaging, new product SKUs, usage/consumption models) into concrete technical roadmaps, milestones, and execution plans across multiple engineering teams and partner functions.
-
Build and maintain program source-of-truth artifacts (roadmaps, program charters, status, risks, decision logs) that enable fast, aligned decision-making.
-
Act as the central connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Rev Ops, Sales, Legal, and Support for all things billing.
About you:
-
5+ years of experience in technical program management or closely related role.
-
Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional technical programs in a high-growth B2B SaaS or product engineering environment.
-
Strong technical depth: comfortable working with distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, and systems integrations; able to engage in detailed design discussions and ask the right questions to manage risk and scope.
-
Demonstrated ability to impose structure on ambiguity: you can take a loosely defined problem, bring clarity, define options, and drive toward a decision and execution plan.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate between deeply technical engineering details, business constraints, and customer impact.
-
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities may shift, and new business opportunities can change the roadmap.
Nice to have:
-
Experience with one or more of: usage-based / consumption billing, multi-entity or multi-currency billing, tax engines, or complex customer hierarchies
-
Background working closely with Finance, Accounting, and Rev Ops on revenue recognition, financial close, and compliance needs
-
Familiarity with tools in the quote-to-cash ecosystem
-
Prior experience at an early- or growth-stage startup where you’ve helped build billing capabilities from relatively early maturity
Location:
- This role is a hybrid (4 days a week in our Palo Alto office)
Compensation & Benefits:
The standard base salary range for this position is $198,000 - $235,500 annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including competitive compensation, Medical, Vision, and Dental coverage, generous time-off policy, and the opportunity to contribute to your 401k plan to support your long-term goals. When you join, you'll receive a home office improvement stipend, as well as an annual education and wellness stipends to support your growth and wellbeing. We foster a vibrant company culture through regular events, and provide healthy lunches daily to keep you fueled and focused.
We are a diverse bunch of people and we want to continue to attract and retain a diverse range of people into our organization. We're committed to an inclusive and diverse company. We do not discriminate based on gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, civil or family status, age, disability, or race.

Is there anything that can be gleaned from someone who is really good at boardgames?
I know someone who is really good at boardgames. It doesn't matter if they've played the game before or not. They're able to amass SO many victory points and I'm just kind of in awe. They just "get" the game. I'm not even sure how they're able to be so effective. So, I'm just wondering if there
