What You'll Do:
- Engage with GM Defense stakeholders to understand operational challenges and define IT/analytics requirements that support program readiness, cost management, and schedule adherence.
- Design and implement data integrations and pipelines that connect information from engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and financial systems into trusted analytic datasets.

- Production build schedule attainment
- Material availability
- Engineering and product configuration changes
- Program milestone achievement
- Support BOM and configuration quality initiatives by designing data structures, reports, and workflows that highlight gaps before production lock points.

- Implement and maintain access, security, and documentation in alignment with GM policies and GM Defense requirements.
- Produce clear technical and user documentation so that solutions can be supported by both IT and business teams.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support (root-cause analysis, scenario modeling, metric deep-dives) to support continuous improvement, Kaizen events, and leadership reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data/Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
- Candidate must either be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee) or a non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required export control authorization.
- Demonstrated experience as a System Analyst, BI Developer, or similar role working with complex, multi-system data.
- Advanced Proficiency with: Python for scripting, data transformation, automation, and advanced analytics.
- Power Apps, Power Automate, and Share Point solutions for workflow automation, forms, and lightweight applications.
- SQL / Spark or similar querying languages for building and optimizing data pipelines.
- Power BI (or comparable BI tools) for interactive dashboards and reports.
- Databricks or similar data lake technologies for large scale data processing.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, translating them into solution designs and user stories.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret trends, identify data quality issues, and develop pragmatic recommendations.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional and technical teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work on agreed timelines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and presentation of complex information to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Defense industry or government program experience
- Background working with manufacturing, logistics, or engineering data (e.g., BOMs, build schedules, material planning, change management, cost and labor plans).
- Prior involvement in continuous improvement / Kaizen projects focused on analytics or process digitization.
