Facilities Mechanic

Position Overview: The Facilities Mechanic performs various duties in the maintenance and operation of all the Utility plant machinery and equipment, including electrical, condensate/steam, fire protection, potable/domestic water & sewer. Facilities Mechanics work Monday through Friday 5:45am – 2:00pm and must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends and for emergency events. Main Responsibilities: In this role, you will Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment Become proficient through training and experience in mechanical systems, including: water heaters, ductless HVAC, domestic water system (well), steam/condensate system, fire protection, process waste water equipment, dock equipment and other responsibilities of the Facilities Team Bring technical expertise and operational know-how in development and execution of capital projects Effectively complete and catalog required documents for regulatory tasks Troubleshooting/installing electrical circuits Utilize Maximo maintenance management system by navigating through screens to enter data, understanding the work order control system and understanding the parts/stock requisitioning process Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older Must have the ongoing right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship High School Diploma or GED Possess minimum two years electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience Possess two years of fire protection system experience Willing to obtain a wastewater certification Experience in computer skills, Maximo, Microsoft Office Effective written and oral communication skills Must be able to lift, move, push, pull 55 lbs on a regular basis, with some items up to 75 lbs. Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time, including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces, some possibly rough or uneven. Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat/bump cap, hair/beard net and gloves when required, including full face breathing apparatus. Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms Ability to work in confined space such as bins, silos, or tanks Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment Ability to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: Technical degree in industrial maintenance or related field Continuing education in maintenance/technical skills Computer Maintenance Management System experience Demonstrated leadership ability COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
