Maintenance Generalist- Various Shifts

WORK SCHEDULE: Various shifts and may include weekend hours This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures. Communicates with supervisors and leads and fellow team members to maintain a safe work environment and minimize downtown. Cares for machinery and equipment by completing preventative maintenance, including lubricating moving components, adjusting parts, rebuilding, completing scheduled service, and assisting operators on change over Ensures work area and equipment is kept clean and orderly at all times Examines equipment daily for assigned area to identify signs of excessive wear, defects, and damage. Repairs industrial equipment and machinery to ensure they’re always in proper working order. Records all maintenance and repair services performed and keeps track of all materials and parts used during the repair process. Observes and promotes all plant safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Studies manufacturer manuals and blueprints and carefully follows directions when operating or setting up newly-acquired machinery or making repairs Attends training both off site and on site as needed Makes leadership aware of materials and parts that are needed when inventory grows low or is depleted Attendance – Reports to work on scheduled days and works full shift, demonstrating an acceptable level of attendance in accordance with company policies. Able to work overtime and weekends, as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Highschool diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of one (1) year of mechanic work experience OR a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. Willing and able to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Willing and able to walk on hard surfaces for up to 8 - 10 hours Willing and able to work in the cold or heat (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) and dry, damp, or humid environments and in areas that may have slippery walking surfaces Willing and able to work overtime, including weekends, as needed Basic computer skills to complete required training and/or tasks Ability to identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks Ability to verbally communicate material effectively in a training environment Ability to read and understand manuals/instructions, blueprints, and schematics Ability to work as team and in individual situations Ability to professionally and respectfully communicate in writing and orally to other team members and management about daily assignments Self-starter with a sense of urgency and an entrepreneurial spirit COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
