Process Improvement Consultant (Automation)

WHAT YOU’LL DO: The Enterprise Data Capabilities (EDC) Team drives extraordinary value for General Mills by leveraging Intelligent Automation throughout the organization. To better serve our business partners, we will provide expert Business Process Improvement thought leadership, activity coordination and road mapping for key transformational projects. As a primary focus, the Process Improvement Consultant helps our business partners document their existing business processes, enhance their efficiency, and ready the processes for automation by our Business Process Automation Team (via electronic workflow, RPA, etc.). The Process Improvement Consultant also works across the business to lead teams in problem solving sessions, to brainstorm & prioritize automation ideas, assist business teams to create project plans, and provide training on basic continuous improvement & technical skills. Work with business teams to understand existing business processes and provide guidance on selecting the best path forward to improve and automate them Collaborate with business partners to create and build Business Process Improvement roadmaps to leverage Intelligent Automation for transformational projects across the enterprise Lead Process Mining engagements and delivery Collaborate with the Process Automation CoE to better understand company automation tools, organize implementation projects, enhance team governance standards and customer communication processes Deliver Process Improvement training to EDC teams & their business partners Assist in development of new process improvement & automation capabilities Measure to ensure milestones are met and deliverables are achieved WHO YOU ARE: Bachelor’s degree Ability to influence, create connections, drive standards, communicate and work across multiple departments and all levels of the organization Efficient time management skills with the ability to prioritize Experience with continuous improvement processes and tools, as well as emerging trends in the industry Experience with Service Now, Automation Anywhere, Winshuttle or other automation and process mining tools considered a plus Ability to work in an ever-changing environment Thought-driven leadership to successfully deliver scalable business solutions Experience working directly with business clients to design solutions Experience with design and implementation of streamlined/standardized processes Ability to research, plan, organize, lead, and implement new processes Strong customer service focus ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for a U.S. work visa.
