OVERVIEW General Mills is seeking a Bakery Training Technician to work on the In-Store Fresh team supporting Walmart bakeries.

This is a field based role with 50-60% travel where you will provide hands on product training in both one-on-one and seminar settings to Walmart Bakery associates.

  • Candidates must live in either the Omaha, NE or Des Moines, IA areas or be willing to self-relocate for this role. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES In this role you will: Develop & deliver strategic training and demonstrations to drive in-store knowledge and ability in Walmart bakeries Develop and maintain excellent relationships with in-store and management and associates Maintain optimum territory coverage patterns by training stores on a prescribed time-(goal of 36 hours weekly in store) & frequency while maintaining updated and accurate records Effectively conduct hands on product training for bakery associates in a seminar type setting both large and small while working as a team with other suppliers Additional duties as assigned ADDITIONAL BENEFITS Fleet Eligible Can opt in to receive a company car or join the car allowance program A gas card is also provided when selecting the company car Up to 15 days of vacation annually (prorated based on start date) and 11 paid company holidays 401(k) matching Health Insurance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma 1-3 years’ previous experience within a bakery; 3-5 years baking, donut and cake decorating experience in a teaching setting Technical baking, donut and cake decorating skills required Ability to train small groups Ability to work in a home office environment and travel 50-60% (company car provided) Self-managed and results oriented Flexible and able to manage adversity Strong communication and influence skills Strong PC/i Pad skills including, but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and safety rules PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Culinary or Bakery training or bachelor’s degree ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS International relocation or international remote working arrangements will not be considered.

Salary: Range The salary range for this position is $50400.00 - $69400.00 / Annually.
