Thermal Quality Technician - Hannibal, MO

This position will provide the day-to-day, on-line Quality support for the Thermal department, which will include communication and interpretation of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, Micro testing, Ingredient and Finished Product Hold Management, Rework coordination, Thermal Process Record Review, Glass and Hard Plastic Auditing, Reform Support, Validation Studies, Event Management, and Sanitation expertise. RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Thermal Support (however, some coverage may be expected in other operating or support departments): Trace and place ingredient and Finished Product on hold in HIFI, perform reconciliations, and verifications Provide primary backup for Thermal Process Record Review, including weekend overtime coverage Lead FSQ coordination of Thermal Rework activities Provide accurate estimates to Finance team via accrual process Provide FSQ support to Thermal Departments Perform risk assessments for product quality and food safety events Perform FSRA inspections, verification and training Perform Glass and Hard Plastics Auditing Lead Pathogen Environmental Monitoring Program for Thermal Perform allergen, pre-operational, sanitation, and post maintenance inspections of equipment Lead micro studies for validation work (extended run, quick clean, sanitation, allergen, etc.) File and follow supplier notifications to ensure completion Support new product introductions and reformulations, as well as HMM work Travel between buildings (including Bear Creek) will be required Other duties per business and function need MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of one year of work experience in a food plant in the areas of manufacturing, sanitation, or quality assurance required A proven work record of attendance and performance Ability to learn and execute physical and chemical analyses required for this position Ability to compile, retrieve data, and report results on GMI standard data collection systems and Microsoft Excel Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. A proven ability to manage multiple projects while performing everyday tasks is essential.
