Consultant (Infrastructure Platform)

Learning and capacity-building is a key ingredient of our success. Job Overview We have an exciting opportunity to join as a Consultant in our Server Platform Team. Good knowledge in Cloud and Container Technologies and experience on cloud migration. Candidate should have a strong level of knowledge and experience with a broad base of adjoining technologies including Windows, VMware, Storage, Backup, Active Directory, PowerShell, Cloud and Containers Technologies etc. or at least some of them. Will be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing operational and project related L2 and L3 issues. Provide technical input to internal project teams, both within and outside own functional area. Candidate also need to have a DevOps and “infrastructure as a code” mindset and be able to automate various operational/project related tasks with respect to any supported technology. Job Responsibilities 45 % of Time
• Work on Projects implementation with Global Team
• Work on internal Projects related to VMware/OS/Storage/Backup servers upgrade/patching/Cloud/GKE, new hardware etc.
• Work on Projects with different team like CIS, DB, SAP HANA TDI, SAP, Middleware, Webhosting, Developers, Hadoop etc. and contribute with platform prospective like Hardware/OS Provisioning, Backup, Storage, automation etc. 25 % of Time - 2nd & 3rd Tier Operational Support
• Assist with medium to high-level troubleshooting and leveraging various tools to identify root cause.
• Work with vendors as and when needed to resolve issues.
• Regularly provide advice and recommend actions in complex issues. 20 % Of Time Continuous improvement and Innovation
• Review and propose changes to existing processes, tasks, and workflows to identify areas of opportunities to streamline processes, remove or reduce unnecessary steps, or alter workflows towards better outcomes
• Identify the automation possibilities in the existing Infrastructure and implement the automation using automation tools.
• Work with Vendor and seek new upcoming tools and technologies with them. 10 % Of Time Administrative and other duties as assigned

Experience Minimum years of related experience required: 8+ years Preferred years of related experience: 8-13 years Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed Experience or exposure to multiple knowledge proficiencies including:
• Knowledge of operating systems – Windows 2019, 2016, 2012 - Good knowledge in Cloud and Container Technologies and experience on cloud migration project.
• Good knowledge of Active directory and technologies around it (GPO, DNS, DHCP).
• Knowledge of Virtualization Platforms with experience of understanding of specific products like VMware ESXi
• The Server platform Engineer should have a strong level of knowledge and experience with a broad base of adjoining technologies including Windows Server OS, VMware, Storage, Backup, PowerShell etc.
• Ability to automate various operational/project related tasks with respect to any supported technology.
• Candidate should be flexible, reliable, can take initiative, can deal with responsibility, and have a “can do” mentality.
• Candidate must possess excellent problem-solving skills and eager to learn and use new technologies like Cloud, Containers, AI etc.

Additional Information:

• Candidate should have solid infrastructure related background.
• Responsibilities include rotating on call support (including weekends) and planned project activities support.
