POSITION OVERVIEW The Avon Mill is a key supplier for the Convenience and Food Service business with bakery flour produced from Avon’s two flour mills.

The Avon plant is also the primary supplier of all retail Betty Crocker dry mix pouch products for the Baking Division including cookies, muffins, biscuits, pancakes, and brownies.

The Avon plant, located just outside of Des Moines, employs approximately 98 people across the plant.

The Logistics Manager is expected to be an active member of the plant leadership team and help set the direction for the entire site of approximately 92 employees.

This position interacts with the HQ Logistics Operations and the NAF business teams.

This position reports to the Plant Manager and has a dotted line into the North American Logistics function.

The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning and logistics operations for the entire Plant.

The Logistics Manager is also a member of the site leadership team and will be expected to help set tactical as well as strategic direction for the site.

In addition to this work, this role will be expected to work with the business team ensuring success for incoming materials and planning that will provide savings opportunities.

Acquire ownership of plant safety programs and/or Central Safety Committee Sub-committees Drive a continuous improvement culture that improves plant operating results while maximizing customer service.

Lead plant operations towards Phase 1 and own the Avon logistics pillar Exemplify Servant Leadership and establish and maintain positive employee relations environment in the Logistics/Operations organization and throughout the plant “Play to win” as an active member of the Plant Senior Leadership Team and provide counsel and support on key Logistics initiatives Direct and lead plant staff in the development, prioritization, and implementation of key initiatives / metrics in support of the plant Master Plan and key Logistics priorities Develop and own the Logistics, Packing and Warehouse budgets.

Develop and implement pipeline of productivity/HMM ideas that support the plant Develop and communicate plans that ensure Logistics programs continue to meet changing customer service requirements Supervise, Lead, Develop and mentor packing department production team members (10), and warehouse team members (10) across all 3 shifts Participate in Logistics specific project teams to drive network-wide process improvements and standardization Educate, develop and motivate a manufacturing team to work toward zero loss achieving production results, improving individual technical skills and enabling collaboration across boundaries.

Drive out losses and develop and engage team members in foundational systems Ensure the proper training, development and motivation of the team to maximize current and future performance Ensure that production facilities and finished products meet the company and government standards for safety, quality, and sanitation Lead projects for the department including Human Safety, Food Safety, and Improvement-plant focused initiatives Owns identifying training gaps for the technicians on the system as well as developing and ensuring execution of training plan to address these gaps Owns DDS process for packing and warehousing including: Leads daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly – including recognition of team members Lead the development and execution of Plan for the Day – including development and handoff of plan for off shifts Health of CIL system Point of ownership of the 90-Day improvement plan to deliver the glidepath Facilitates development of the line/system 90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree 5+ years of relevant experience Commitment to Safety and Continuous Improvement Breadth of Logistics/Planning experience across divisions and/or channels Strong understanding of overall plant operations Demonstrated understanding of the impact of logistics upon the greater Supply Chain Thorough knowledge of GMI (or equivalent) logistics and operations, procedures and information systems (e.g.

Blue Yonder, SAP, scheduling, planning, MQIS) Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive change Strong conceptual, analytical, and decision-making skills Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills Ability to engage, motivate, and develop others PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous plant or warehouse management experience Demonstrated capabilities at managing and developing people Some project management experience ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary: Range The salary range for this position is $93700.00 - $140700.00 / Annually.
