Job Description Summary
The Lead Supplier Manufacturing Engineer, as part of the Integrated Project Team (IPT), will lead technical problem-solving projects that enable hardware delivery for Military Engines. The role is responsible for organizing and coordinating multi-functional teams to execute on delivery improvements in support of the Military Engine team and Military Integrated Project Team (MIPT). The Lead Supplier Manufacturing Engineer will work with plants and Supply Chain to resolve technical issues while providing expertise on technical solutions, ensuring they have the technical capability to meet drawing requirements and that part drawings are capable for manufacture.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Accountable to resolve constraints impacting delivery within GE Aerospace plants and suppliers with technical solutions.
- Aligned to Military IPT with technical expertise; expected to own the technical performance of Military Engine Hardware.
- Lead cross-functional, high-visibility projects to develop alternate methods and processes for manufacture, develop repairs and reworks, and improve producibility to enable improved delivery of hardware from suppliers.
- Responsible as Design for Manufacture Reviewer to ensure drawings are capable of manufacture and liaison with Design Engineering and Project Management.
- Ensure Supply Chain possesses the technical capability to produce defect-free parts at-rate for military engines.
- Support suppliers and Military IPT on interpretations of drawing requirements, connections to technical communities and tools, and part router reviews versus milestone plans.
- Active in selection of value chain solution to unlock constraints for military business. Partner with product line owners to ensure solutions provide desired value.
- Support supply chain changes as needed, including solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Industrial Engineering)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Industrial Engineering
- Willing to travel up to 50% as needed for business requirements
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience in Aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision industries.
- Established project management skills
- Experience with reviewing and analyzing technical data (drawings, models, programs, etc.)
The base pay range for this position is $100,000- $120,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
