The Lead Production Quality Specialist reports to the GE Lafayette Plant Leader and works in a self-directed teaming structure. This role is responsible for quality assurance and quality control in the LEAP Assembly operation at Lafayette.

Essential Responsibilities

• Utilize FLIGHT DECK tools to drive quality improvements
• Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
• Advocate for and lead proactive quality improvement projects (focused on predictive quality);
• Responsible for interfacing with customers;
• Drive and support successful internal and external audits;
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others;
• Support and coach self-directed teams to achieve program/business objectives;
• Serve as subject matter expert for site wide decision making process in councils;
• Ensure operational alignment with site quality KPIs;

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in quality + 3 years of manufacturing experience
