As System Engineer – Senior Engine Owner and Testing you will lead one or more test engines, be responsible for defining configurations, leading cross-functional teams, and planning and executing engine assembly and test campaigns in alignment with program, customer, and regulatory requirements. You will own test plan development, end-to-end test execution, data analysis and communication, and continuous improvement of test processes to enhance safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities

Own engine configuration definition (MEBUL) for one or more development and certification test vehicles, ensuring alignment with program objectives, safety, compliance, and cost targets

Provide technical leadership for instrumentation scope, Test Enabling Hardware (TEH), and Digital Engine Model definition, integrating inputs across design, systems, test, and customer requirements

Lead and coordinate engine assembly and test cell installation activities, partnering with Supply Chain, Test Engineering, and operations to secure on-time, on-quality readiness for test

Chair the Test Vehicle Review (TVR) process end-to-end, driving closure of actions, managing risks and waivers, and ensuring configuration and safety readiness prior to test

Partner closely with TSE evaluation engineers for the preparation and execution of Tollgate Reviews, consolidating cross-functional inputs, articulating risks, mitigations, and recommendations to leadership, and securing key program decisions

Own test requirements assignment and management, develop the overall test strategy and approach, and provide integrated cost and schedule estimates that support program planning and commitments

Drive and coordinate the preparation of test design reviews, ensuring technical robustness, configuration control, and alignment with certification, customer, and regulatory requirements

Author and approve test plans for R&D and certification, ensuring clear objectives, traceability to requirements, and appropriate coverage of performance, durability, operability, and safety.

Define and govern test conduct requirements, including test procedures, operating limits, and safety protocols, and ensure these are understood and implemented by execution teams

Lead organization of test witnessing and provide oversight of testing, ensuring proper documentation, data quality, and adherence to test plans, configuration, and safety standards

Provide leadership and technical oversight to the Supply Chain Test Engineering organization during test execution, driving timely issue resolution and protecting critical path milestones

Serve as systems focal and technical leader during test execution, coordinating cross-functional engineering support, driving root-cause investigations, and enabling real-time decision-making to keep tests on track

Ensure creation and maintenance of clear, concise, and accurate engineering documentation, including configurations, test reports, deviations, and lessons learned, in accordance with quality and compliance requirements

Synthesize and communicate test status, risks, and emerging issues to program and engineering leadership, proposing data-driven solutions and mitigation plans to protect Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost commitments

Lead planning and cross-team coordination with project, systems, design, controls, and reliability groups, ensuring test campaigns are fully integrated into program schedules and that dependencies and interfaces are well managed
Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) with proven experience in a testing or engineering position

Experience with leading engine/components tests of aerospace or industrial products

Solid project leadership skills

Strong problem solving skills
-
Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix environment

Strong communication and presentation skills
-
Fluent English
-
Willingness and ability to travel as needed to cover assigned tests, both locally and internationally

Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
