The On Wing Support SEL (Korea) Safety Engineer will be responsible for key functional, business, and company objectives and report to the onsite Safety Manager. In this role, you will solve complex issues affecting the business, executing the long-term business plan, and lead the Safety Management and Information Security Management System in the organization. You will work with the larger OWS team (including Global Quality), as well as a cross-functional team from other organizations within the GE Aerospace network

Site Overview:
On Wing Support Korea was launched in 2000 at Gimpo Airport. Recognizing the growing need for support, we expanded the center in 2013. It was relocated to the Gimpo Aerospace Industrial Complex with enhanced quick-turn service capabilities for large engines. One of seven global centers, it serves as a crucial hub for quick-turn and real-time services in Asia Pacific to keep our customers flying.
Role Overview:

Leading the ICAO Safety Management System activities and driving the Safety culture at the shop and field.

Create a culture where Quality and Safety is at the forefront of everyone’s mind.

Develop and conduct SMS training for all staff.
-
Serve as the secondary interface with regulatory agencies.

Ensure that all Regulatory SMS/Information Security Management and Company requirements are met.

All Regulatory, Customer and Supplier audit requirements are satisfied.

Perform internal audits locally and at remote locations as required.

Perform investigation, develop and conduct Root Cause Analysis accordingly.

Own the proactive Quality and SMS framework for the site.

Lead RCCA Execution for the shop and facilitating best practice sharing with other shops with the OWS network and wider GE Aerospace Quality Organization.
Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate is someone strong background in aviation SMS system and quality, possessing at least 5 years of relevant experience. They should have expertise in aviation regulations ( MOLIT, FAA, EASA Part 145, etc.), safety management systems, and quality assurance practices.
Required Qualifications

Aeronautical Engineering degree or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license.

Strong working knowledge of ICAO Annex 19 requirements.

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Compliance Monitoring/SMS Department.

Experience working with aviation regulatory agencies.

Knowledge of EASA Part 145, FAA FAR 145 procedures or equivalent.

Qualified Auditor with Auditing Experience.
