In this role you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the financial aspects of recurring cost and non recurring cost across the External Commercial Customer program portfolio and throughout the Lifecycle of the programs.
This role you will require a close collaboration with Program Managers and with Avio Aero functions to ensure cost program goals are aligned and acknowledged by functions.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Focal point for preparation of Profitability operative rhythms, and Programs/Gate Reviews/Program Control Board ensuring the standard is consistent across the External Commercial program group

  • Support the Program Manager in defining and maintaining the program financial baseline, with specific focus on cost aspect and in the definition of Program cost target.

  • Responsible for the preparation of cost targets for all functions, to be flowed down by the program manager with regular alignment

  • Collaborate with Program Managers and cross-functional teams (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Sourcing) to execute cost-out activities and meet product cost targets,

  • Responsible for analyzing and identifying cost variances, providing insights into budget deviations, contributing to define corrective actions and conduct regular cost forecasts, EAC (Estimate at completion) and variance analyses.

  • Support cost analysis for cold start and re-industrialisation during execution

  • Promote and apply FLIGHT DECK principles and structured problem-solving methods to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across processes and teams.

  • Maintain product cost reduction projects in company digital tools used to monitor product cost evolution.

  • Contribute to the program risk management process from a cost perspective

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace/management engineering, economics or related disciplines

  • Solid experience in cost management, project control, or financial planning within a program-driven environment (preferably aerospace, defense, or complex industrial sectors)

  • Knowledge of Finance, Financial Processes, Program and Product Costs

  • Strong interpersonal leadership and ability to work in a cross-functional team

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to develop network among peers and stakeholders

  • Able to prevent and identify programs critical issues

  • Autonomous and self-driven

  • Ability to document, plan, and execute established projects, and management skills

  • Strong oral and written English/Italian knowledge

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of aeronautical products from engineering, manufacturing technology, supply chain perspective preferred

  • Previous experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP), Excel and data visualization/reporting tools.

  • Proactive and positive approach

  • Effective communication and sense of urgency
