Job Description Summary

We are seeking for an skilled and experienced CNC Machining Background Production Supervisor


The Production Supervisor is in charge of an specific area and shift for GE Aerospace set of products. The main objective is to produce quality parts, in the right quantity, at the right time and at minimum cost. It also seeks to continually improve the efficiency, organize and recommend strategies to ensure that the product is developed successfully, in accordance with all specifications.
Supervise Shift leaders and technicans that work in operations and product development.
Supervise and follow up production plan and WIP tracker for CNC machine operations and NON-CNC operations such a washing, CMM, manual measurements, and assure they have the necessary material, tools, gages, documentation to perform their operations.
Help to achieve quality, safety, equipment, autonomous maintenance, and supplies standards. Follow and enforce the code of ethics. Respect and compliance with Quality Policy, Health and Safety standards and Quality Management System.

Job Description

Roles and Responsabilities

• Supervise Shift leader & technicians daily basis according to process sheets, work instructions or any other requirement (Customer specifications, engineering drawings, etc.)

• Verify that all manufacturing documentation availability and provide if something is need it (traveling sheets, first inspection items, etc.) to manufacture products that meet quality requirements, inspect, and verify the work before sending it for inspection if it is not conforming process through material procedures not compliant.

• Verify SAP Confirmations

• Document actions, completing production and quality records

• Request & manage Production reports & wip tracker.

• Request & manage OT for technitias.

• Follow up on technitians attendances & tooling engineer.

• Generates MEMO´s for MFG engineer attendances & tooling engineer.

• Update work knowledge, participating in training.

• Request training for CNC operators and CNC Technicians, MFG engineer attendances & tooling engineer if is necessary

• Meets GE Aerospace-Hermosillo objectives by accepting achievements and requesting new needs

• Generate savings projects

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in similar position.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Desired)
  • CNC Machining Background.
  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge.
  • Turning, milling experience, airfoil milling desirable.
  • English Intermediate

Desired Characteristics:

  • Health and Safety OSHA knowledge.
  • Operation and handling of cranes and hoists preferred.
  • Microsoft tools knowledge Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
  • MRP usage background preferred SAP.
