Job Description Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the activities of gears manufacturing processes. She/He will take full responsibility of the assigned hardware, developing the manufacturing plan and/or optimizing the existing one to achieve the required targets in terms of process feasibility and robustness, product quality, product cost and capacity sustainment. She/He will also analyze quality KPI for the improvement plan of the assigned P/N.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
-
Lead concurrent engineering activities with the design engineers and/or with the customer
-
Define tooling/router design effort between external suppliers and Avio Aero Manufacturing Engineer
-
Drive suppliers of tooling during all steps from the concept to the functional test and related validation
-
Manage design and process reviews, to monitor the status of industrialization/ improvement plan for the assigned P/N.
-
Lead operating personnel during the production of the first batch
-
Manage the technical validation according with internal procedures
-
Identify processes optimization to be implemented
-
Support Customer Quality Engineering for the anomaly report submitted to Customer and sustain Customer review of the proposed improvement plan
-
Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process
-
Develop and consolidate best practices and standards for gears manufacturing
Qualifications/Requirements
-
Master Degree in Mechanical is a plus or Industrial Technical Diploma with experience in aerospace manufacturing
-
Experience of gears manufacturing and of NDT
-
Experience of metrology principles applied to geometrical tolerances
-
Strong Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
-
Strong Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
-
Strong Ability to manage activities simultaneously
-
Strong organizational skills
-
Previous experience of work in a matrix organization
-
Italian and English fluent
-
Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required.
