Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace Türkiye Technology Center is seeking a Life Management Engineer to perform Low cycle fatigue (LCF), Thermo-mechanical fatigue (TMF) and fracture mechanics lifing analysis of critical parts and mission analysis, ensuring compliance with program and product requirements. Working within our Istanbul Kartal engineering hub and connected labs in Kocaeli and Gebze, you will prepare, document, and present technical data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to indigenous and new engine programs, software development, and additive manufacturing. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, has up to 4 years of experience, solid knowledge of FEM, Damage Tolerance, and Durability Analysis, excellent English skills, and demonstrates a humble, transparent, focused, and problem-solving mindset in an inclusive, hybrid working environment shaping the future of flight.
Job Description Site Overview:
GE Aerospace has an advanced engineering center located in Istanbul, Kartal, complemented by cutting-edge laboratories in Kocaeli, Gebze. Our offices in Istanbul and Ankara provide essential support to commercial and defense engines across the country. Our highly skilled engineers at the Türkiye Technology Center contribute to GE Aerospace’s engineering work on indigenous programs, new engine programs, software development, and additive manufacturing, supporting the country’s position as an advanced aerospace hub. Role Overview:
- Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
- Required analysis will range from Low cycle fatigue (LCF), Thermo-mechanical fatigue (TMF) and fracture mechanics lifing analysis of critical parts or mission analysis
- Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
- Document and communicate results of technical data generated
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
- Share information and promote open dialogue
- Being member of Life Management team as IC role
**The Ideal Candidate:**
The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong academic background in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (Bachelor or Master, PhD.) with up to 4 years of experience. They should possess expertise in FEM, damage tolerance, and durability analysis, along with excellent English communication skills. Preferred qualities include prior aviation experience, problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and a humble, transparent, and focused approach to work.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master, PhD. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Up to 4 years of experience
- Fundamental FEM knowledge/ Damage Tolerance/ Durability Analysis
- Excellent command of English both verbal and written
