Job Description Summary
As Accessories & Controls Lead Buyer, within the Avio Aero’s Supply Chain team and directly reporting to the Commodity Manager, you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You will apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. In this role, you will have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others, and you will be aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities

Manage the sourcing process, from evaluation of requestor’s requirements to PO placement
-
Understand the Accessories & Controls Commodity needs based on the Commodity Strategy and define SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) matrix in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing team and Casting Technical Expert

Support the strategy and robustness definition and execution for the specific set of goods within the Accessories & Controls Commodity

Manage Supplier and build a strong relationship with GE Aerospace Sourcing Team
-
Perform spent analysis for the given set of goods within Accessories & Controls commodity and with reference to the Operational Plan and Strategy goals (including deflation, costout, days to pay)

Apply cost and price analysis techniques, using available expertise from supporting organizations

Negotiate PO and purchase contracts, following applicable company and government regulations

Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects

Work in collaboration with Supplier Quality Teams and Procurement team to meet established goal of OTD, span, delinquency and vendor recovery

In performing your activities, it will be mandatory for you to maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with supply base and internal customers
Qualifications/Requirements
-
Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
-
Previous and proven experience, in Quality and/or Engineering and/or Program Management/Sourcing
-
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
-
Ability to handle several activities simultaneously, manage multiple priorities and resolve appropriately
-
Professional working knowledge of SAP MRP software system
-
Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)
-
Highly motivated team member
-
Proactivity, Customer orientation, initiative, autonomy
-
Fluent in Italian and English language, both written and spoken
-
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Negotiation skills

Previous experience in sourcing organization

Positive working attitude and proven understanding of how to be an effective service provider within an organization

Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
