Job Description
Avio Aero, a GE aerospace company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilities and Energy Leader to oversee operations across multiple sites, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in facilities management. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in energy management, regulatory compliance, and team development to drive continuous improvement and support the company’s global operations.
Essential Responsibilities

Oversee multisite operations: Manage day-to-day operations across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, standards, and operational excellence.

Ensure regulatory compliance: Maintain adherence to local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, environmental standards, and energy management.

Monitor and improve facility conditions: Conduct regular inspections, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize facility performance.

Develop and implement SOPs: Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facilities management, maintenance, and operations to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Budget management: Prepare and manage the facilities maintenance budget, monitor expenditures, and lead annual productivity and cost-saving initiatives.

Team development: Build and mentor the facilities management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, best practices, and adherence to standards.

Project leadership: Lead or support facilities-related projects, including office space planning, construction, upgrades, and renovations, ensuring timely delivery within budget and compliance with company standards.

Reporting and communication: Generate detailed reports on facility conditions, maintenance schedules, and ongoing projects, and communicate updates to stakeholders effectively.

Issue resolution: Address escalated facility issues, coordinate resolutions with relevant teams, and serve as the primary point of contact for emergency facility matters across multiple sites.

Emergency response planning: Develop and implement emergency response procedures for critical incidents such as fires, floods, and power outages.

Process improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure operational excellence in facilities management.

Industry knowledge: Stay informed on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to ensure facilities management remains innovative and current.

Real estate management: Coordinate real estate activities for GE Aerospace’s global facilities portfolio, including lease management, space utilization, and strategic planning.
Qualifications/Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.

Experience: Extensive experience in facilities management, with a proven track record managing multisite or multi-location environments.

Technical expertise: Strong knowledge of facilities management best practices, safety regulations, compliance standards, and energy management principles.

Financial acumen: Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor management.

Leadership skills: Experience building and leading teams, with a focus on skill development and promoting best practices.
-
Project management: Proven ability to manage mid-to-large-sized facilities projects, including construction, upgrades, and renovations.

Industry knowledge: Familiarity with emerging trends in facilities management, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

Language proficiency: Fluent in English and Italian, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
