DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR:

• MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
• Responsible for deploying Oracle quarterly patches
• Responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and administering databases, including security, access, and documentation
• Work closely with other database administrators, system administrators, developers, testers and GDIT shipboard technicians on troubleshooting and resolving Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) technology stack issues.
• Collaborate with teammates onsite and through distant support using available and approved remote access tools
• Provide expert database administration support in a Hyper-V/VSphere virtualization environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Systems

• Certification(s): Security+, Oracle Database Administration and Windows OS

• Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience working as an Oracle/People Soft DBA

• Required Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c/19c, People Tools, Peple Soft HCM/HRMS, Web Logic, Tuxedo, and shell/Windows scripting on multiple operating systems and network platforms.

• Security Clearance Level: Secret

• Required Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Preferred Skills: Prior experience working with and knowledge of the Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS)

• Location: On Customer Site

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
