Job Description Summary

The Project Completion Manager is responsible for all defined Completion list tracking and closures of Wind Turbine Generators components that are delivered from the GE Vernova Supply Chain and GE Vernova supplier factories to our site.
You will be responsible for the management of mechanical and electrical technicians aiming at the completion of WTGs in order to meet the contract specification and performance, before the handover to the offshore installation and commissioning teams.

  • This role is based on site at Port of Nigg in Scotland. A permanent Mon
  • Frid position is preferred, but rotation 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off is considered.

The job will require to travel to other offshore Wind ports in UK, as well as travelling to factories within Europe.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage WTG component completion activities related to construction and commissioning at the Port of Nigg, including resource planning, spare parts identification and supply, documentation control, and quality tracking.
  • Execute the completion strategy and plan in close coordination with the Global Supply Chain (GSC), Quality, and Sourcing teams.
  • Plan, allocate, and oversee mechanical and electrical (M&E) resources, ensuring efficient operational performance.
  • Promote and maintain a strong EHS culture, ensuring full compliance, continuous awareness, and high performance in all activities.
  • Organize and chair cross-functional coordination meetings to align stakeholders and resolve interface issues.
  • Manage the handover of WTG components from factory to site and from site to the offshore wind farm, ensuring all technical and documentation requirements are met.
  • Review and approve supplier timesheets and invoices in line with contractual and budgetary requirements.
  • Monitor and report completion KPIs to the client and senior leadership, escalating risks, delays, and potential roadblocks as needed.
  • Capture, document, and implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvement in completion processes.
  • Build deep technical knowledge in relevant disciplines and apply prior experience and expertise to effectively execute the completion strategy.
  • Understand key business drivers and how the team’s work interfaces with other teams and contributes to project and business objectives.
  • Exercise sound judgment to propose and implement solutions outside standard parameters, with guidance where required; leverage technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems, drawing on multiple internal resources as needed.
  • Operate as an experienced individual contributor or early-stage people leader, providing informal guidance, coaching, and support to new or junior team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience and knowledge.
  • Strong wind turbine background in electrical systems.
  • GWO certification preferred.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to analyze issues and drive effective resolutions.
  • Proven ability to document, plan, and execute projects/programs; solid project management capabilities.
  • Education and/or training in electricity or electronics.
  • Experience in the offshore wind sector, ideally with exposure to power conversion systems.
  • Ability to work effectively from procedures, as-built drawings, and system schematics.
  • Strong EHS and quality mindset.
  • Highly flexible, self-motivated, and able to perform under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Able to work at height and offshore (at sea).
  • Service- and customer-oriented approach.
  • Efficient, proactive, and reliable, with a high sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Well organized, transparent, and clear in communication and reporting.
