Job Description Summary
As a Manufacturing Engineer – ECT, you will support manufacturing operations by assisting in the implementation and improvement of production processes to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient execution on the shop floor. Working under the guidance of Lead Manufacturing Engineers, you will help develop and maintain workflows, support tooling and process improvements, prepare and manage manufacturing documentation, and assist in troubleshooting production issues.
This role provides hands-on exposure to shop-floor operations, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement activities, enabling early-career engineers to build strong technical and operational foundations while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety practices.
Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Assist in ensuring workflows, standard work, and approved procedures are followed.
- Support daily manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production issues, analyzing deviations, and coordinating with Operations, Quality, Maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and control of manufacturing documentation, including Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, routings, Manufacturing BOM (MBOM), and other manufacturing support documents.
- Support equipment, tooling, and fixture design activities, including layout improvements, ergonomic considerations, and safety enhancements under guidance of senior engineers.
- Supporting manufacturing readiness, process validation for new projects.
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities, such as 5S, waste reduction, Kaizen events, and productivity improvements.
- Assist in standardization initiatives, including power tools standardization, process standardization, and best-practice implementation across the cell.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Operations leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing execution.
- Follow and promote EHS requirements and company policies, ensuring a safe and disciplined shop-floor environment.
What you’ll bring;
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Control Engineering from an accredited university or related technical fields
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in CAD software, such as PTC Creo, Siemens NX, or equivalent, for supporting tooling, layout, and design activities.
- 0 to 1 years of experience in Manufacturing environments.
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts (e.g., 5S, waste reduction, standard work).

- Control Engineering background is preferred, particularly for candidates with exposure to automation, control systems, or industrial instrumentation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation, including Work Instructions (WI), SOPs, routings, and Manufacturing BOMs (MBOM).

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.

- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities, with a structured and logical approach.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn, with a proactive and hands-on mindset suited for an early-career role.
- Good awareness of manufacturing KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
- Willingness to learn how KPIs are applied in daily manufacturing operations.
- Interest in contributing ideas for process and efficiency improvements.
- Strong learning mindset with curiosity and initiative.
- Openness to coaching and feedback from senior engineers.
- Good problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of GE Vernova control systems (Mark VI) is preferred.
- Interest in controls, automation, or digital manufacturing is a plus.
