Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Compliance Environment System Officer in Bandung, Indonesia, to manage in implementing environmental and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include managing environmental plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, liaising with stakeholders, and manage Environment Health & Safety system. The role supports continuous improvement in environmental performance, occupational health, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance

Job Description

Regulatory Compliance and Enforcement

  • Permitting and Reporting: Secures and maintains necessary environmental permits (e.g., for air emissions, environmental permit) and prepares mandatory compliance reports through SIMPEL , SIAPLUMPAT for Safety committee report, and regulatory bodies.
  • Auditing: Conducts regular internal EHS audits and on-site inspections to identify potential hazards or violations.
  • Law Interpretation: Annually Monitors and interprets local & national regulations to ensure business practices remain current through Enhesa & permit review.
  • Incident Management: Develops emergency response plans for incidents like chemical spills and manages the investigation and reporting if they occur.
  • PROPER: Familiar with using SIMPEL as tool for environmental management & having experience in managing proper or properda

Environmental Management and Operations

  • Waste and Resource Management: Designs and implements programs for waste reduction, recycling, and water conservation.
  • Pollution Control: Monitors air and water quality, noise levels, and hazardous materials handling to minimize ecological impact.
  • Impact Assessments (EIAs): Oversees Environmental Impact Assessments for new projects or modifications to existing facilities.
  • Energy Conservation: Promotes energy efficiency and explores the adoption of renewable energy sources.

EHS Management System

  • Manage EHS System : Develop, implement, and maintain EHS Management Systems
  • Documentation : Maintain EHS policies, procedures, manuals, and documentation.
  • Audit :Coordinate internal and external EHS audits.
  • Tracking System : Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure.
  • Monitoring : Maintain & manage Environment Health & safety monitoring related with compliance & Industrial Hygiene
  • Training : Manage Environment Health & safety Training, develop training matrix & training tracker

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety.

  • Experience: Having 2–5 years in managing Environmental Health & Safety

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with government portals like SIMPEL,Siap LUMPAT and managing PROPER , SMK3.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 and SMK3

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Audit and risk assessment skills

  • Certifications: Preferably BNSP certified for POIPPPU,POPA, or PLB3

  • Additional certifications in specific SMK3 , Environmental, or OHS Management system will be beneficial.
