Job Description Summary
Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.
Job Description
Role Summary
- Create and maintain Design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide Technical interface to the customer and suppliers.
- Validation and development of power electronic drive product design using 3D and 2D CAE tools like Pro-E, eplan P8, Propanel, etc.,
- Liaise with cross functional Team, Sales, Project, Commissioning and Service teams.
- Design, standardization & validation of CSI & VSI Drives Controls for different domains application.
- Support electrical panel manufacturing vendors and producing the manufacturing documents like schematics, General arrangement, Parts list, Labels, cable terminals, etc.,
- Experience in handling the plant level system design, capable of producing plant layout, cable routing, Equipment layout, cable schedule, cable calculation and busbar sizing, etc.,
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE software such as Eplan, AUTOCAD 2D or Solid Works for creating schematics and layouts.
- Knowledge on electrical codes and standard including IEC, ANSI, NFPA , NEMA, ISA standards related to ensure the system design are safe and compliant.

- Designing and developing of electrical systems for industrial installation
- Creating detailed schematics, 2D layouts, bill of materials and technical documentation.
- Conducting site survey for upgrade and retrofit project.
- Choosing appropriate electrical components based on technical specification, performance and cost.
- Be part of a multi-disciplined project team, control system development and Validation for different domain projects.
- Establish and maintain contract design documentation.
- Improve the efficiency of the engineering process, through development and use of standard engineering solutions for projects.
- Manage change using the engineering change control system.
- Liaise with other company, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors in order to support the Project execution.
- Adapt Project specific system controls for VSD Application.
- Comply with all company and customer health and safety regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum Qualification
- BE/B.Tech
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 5 Year hands on experience in DC Drives / LV AC Drive system /MV VSI or CSI Drive system Electrical design for applications in Industries, Test bench, PSPP, GT, Oil & Gas, Marine HVDC & Mining.
- Hands on experience in AC Drives or DC Drives or MV VSI/CSI drive equipment sizing, electrical Components sizing & selection and Vendor Specification & coordination.
- Good knowledge in Induction motor, Synchronous Motor & DC Motors fundamentals, equivalent circuit parameters and its speed control methods. Hands on experience in drive controls adaptation for any of the motors speed controls for Industry application.
- Good experience in VFD system selection, Power electronics components sizing & proposal for the applications in Metal Industry, Test bench, PSPP & GT.
- Good knowledge on IGBT/ Thyristor based VSD systems.
- Good experience in Transformer, Reactor sizing, Testing, specification preparation & validation of vendor documents.
- Good knowledge in cable engineering, electrical components selection, heat loss calculation, & short circuit calculation.
- Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined international team.
- Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales

- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willing to travel within India and overseas for short term/Long-term working at customer sites/Regional units.
- Work may include extended hours of working during the weekends/holidays during critical times.

- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in schematics and compliance with regulations.
- Good Knowledge on VFD system design, Sizing and Selection of Electrical Components.
- Good knowledge on selecting cables, busbar sizing for MV and LV electrical systems.
- Knowledge of French/German Language added advantage.
