Job Description Summary

We are seeking an Onsite Installation Technician with proven mechanical and electrical installation experience, preferably within the transmission and distribution sector. A solid understanding of industry standards for electrical wiring and mechanical installation is essential to ensure quality and compliance across all projects.
You will play a key role in supporting major Grid Automation projects by performing secondary circuit installation operations on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of working on complex energy sector projects, demonstrating a commitment to safety and adherence to best practices throughout all installation activities.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Liaison and Communication:

• Close coordination with the site manager and project team to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Ensure effective communication channels are maintained for seamless project execution.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Ensure all related site paperwork is accurately maintained and updated.
• Monitor adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and tooling complies with the relevant regulations.

Reporting:

• Provide regular updates to site manager regarding project progress, challenges, and resource needs.

Must-have-requirements:

• Advanced understanding of industry standards on Electrical wiring and mechanical installation.
• Proven experience on mechanical and electrical installation within the T&D sector, or similar, typically gained in 4/5 years of experience.
• Solid ability to understand and fault find the electrical scheme design.
• Proven understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver license.

Nice-to-have-requirements:

• National Grid Person.
• NEBOSH qualification.
• Experience working with the National Grid and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• First Aid at work qualified.
