Job Description Summary
- The Lead engineer
- Cost Out is responsible for driving strategic cost reduction initiatives across the Hosur site (ITR and PTR Products) while maintaining or improving safety, quality, and delivery. This role combines Technical and analytical expertise, project management, and cross-functional leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute cost optimization opportunities.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive cost reduction projects aligned with business objectives
- Identify and prioritize cost-out opportunities – VAVE , FPC, Packing , Transport and Logistics
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement cost reduction projects from concept through execution
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of cost structures and spend patterns in the value streams
- Benchmark costs against industry standards and best practices
- Utilize data analytics and financial modeling to identify optimization opportunities
- Perform make-vs-buy analyses, value engineering studies, and total cost of ownership assessments
- Monitor and report on cost out project performance, risks and mitigation plan
- Implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices
- Foster a cost-conscious culture throughout the organization
- Accountable for the overall cost of product including, transport, packing, factory productivity and reports cost evolution to management periodically
Required Qualifications

Graduate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10 years of experience.

Supplier quality with costing/sourcing background preferably with instrument transformer, ITR and PTR Products or electrical components.

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
