Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Defining and Implementing sourcing actions for assigned portfolio, to optimize cost, quality and delivery of products, in line with Global & Plant Strategies and contractual obligations.
- Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions (price, payment terms, incoterms, warranty, logistic requirements) with suppliers according to Customer needs and requirements and transmit information to Procurement,
- Driving budget for assigned commodities and managing sourcing activities, launches sourcing tenders, by implementing all sourcing steps from market analysis to successful execution, consist of RFI technical & commercial concept evaluation, risk & opportunities calculation, negotiation, awarding, contract signature with final agreed supplier.
- Monitors the execution process in cooperation with Supply chain team to make sure you are successful.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with Internal stakeholders, and vendors/ forwarders.
- Managing claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
- Searching for new suppliers / materials / technologies locally/globally; carrying out supplier selection steps i.e. Supplier Assessment and SRG auditing.
- Negotiating agreements/contracts with suppliers
- Propose & implement cost reduction actions by using cost models to validate commodity strategies and to understand significant cost drivers.
- Providing analysis on market, new products, newcomers, legal constraints, etc
- Follow up supplier quality performance and development plans and manage supplier claims.
- Collaborating with the Global Sourcing Team, Global Commodity Leaders and peers involved in other Sourcing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing & supply chain area
- Strong negotiation skills & terms and conditions knowledge, setting up a contract structure and contract management
- Experience with an ERP system
- Strong verbal and written skills in English and native speaking skills in Turkish
- The ability to travel domestically; less than 10%
- Willing to work at Gebze plant at least 4 days per week
- Ability to live in Istanbul & Kocaeli

- Prior experience working with SAP is a plus

- Strong oral and written communication skills with different levels
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
