The opening is for role fully dedicated for work on GE Hitachi Nuclear new reactor, based on business to business agreement signed in 2023.

Job Description

The main scope of the Electrical Design Engineers is developing electrical systems for BWRX 300 SMR (Small Modular Reactors) 50Hz standard design.Engineers are engaged in the design of power block, MV, LV distribution and all equipment of first of it's kind nuclear power plant series.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:

  • Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for EPDS - (Electric Power Distribution Systems)

  • Apply electrical circuit and electro-magnetic theory, mathematical modeling, and simulation to design electrical systems

  • Perform, lead, or manage design and related technical scope through progression of; front end engineering design (FEED), Conceptual, Preliminary or Intermediate, Detailed or Final Design.

  • Prepare and maintain relevant documentation, reports, static diagrams etc.

  • Collaborate with other disciplines to define and achieve functional, performance

  • Collaborate with procurement, to establish the relationship with suppliers

  • Prepare detailed work plans covering scope, labor budget, and schedule

  • Ensure deliverables are on-spec., on-budget, and on-schedule

  • Support LEAN, continuous process improvement, and cost-out programs

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Engineering for Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

  • Previous experience in heavy and/or high reliability industries

  • Experience in: sizing, electrical analysis, calculations, modeling and simulations

  • experience using digital tools preparing dynamic or transient physics based modeling, simulations, analysis of electrical systems.

  • Excellent English and Polish language skills

Additional Desired Characteristics

  • Working knowledge of diverse industry standards (e.g.; IEEE, IEC, ASME)

  • Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) e.g.; 2D AutoCAD or 3D Inventor.

  • Working knowledge of design and analysis simulation tools e.g.; Easy5/MSC, Simulink-MATLAB/Math Works, Mathcad/PTC, 3Key Master/WSC, ETAP, SKM,

  • Clear thinker, detail oriented, insightful, quantitative, results oriented

  • Able to make reasoned, sound, and timely decisions.

  • Exceptional technical writing.

  • Strong verbal communication and facilitating skills for technical and business audiences.

  • Able and willing to take ownership and responsibility for scoping, planning, prioritizing, scheduling, budgeting, action tracking, monitoring, corrective actions, reporting, etc.

  • Self-starter with energy and positive “Can-Do” attitude – Proven track record of producing quality deliverables on specification, budget, and schedule in a fast paced environment.
