- Overview We are seeking a full-time Intern
- Copywriter at Garmin’s U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the creative team by helping generate ideas and write content for integrated advertising campaigns and internal communications.
This role offers hands-on experience working on real-world marketing for products across the fitness, outdoor, marine, automotive, and aviation categories.
This role will help move from concept to execution while collaborating with writers, designers, art directors, strategists, and producers.
Essential Functions Assist in brainstorming and developing creative concepts for marketing and internal communication projects Write and refine copy for digital channels such as websites, emails, and social content Support copy development for point-of-sale materials, trade shows, and other marketing assets Collaborate with cross-functional teams including art, social strategy, media, and sponsorships Participate in creative reviews and learn how work is presented to internal stakeholders Potentially observe or assist at photo and video shoots to learn how creative comes to life Assist other creatives with workload and other job-related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Advertising or another related major Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and excellent presentation skills Proven background in creative writing Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment Must be detail-oriented and work effectively with minimal supervision Desired Qualifications
Experience: in/enthusiasm for navigation, consumer electronics, wireless, fitness, and/or automotive electronics
Experience: in/enthusiasm for photography and videography Knowledge or experience with the Adobe suite Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
