As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you’ll be the technical owner of automation strategy and test architecture for products used by thousands every day. You’ll work at the intersection of code, tooling, performance, and product confidence—ensuring we ship fast without breaking things. Responsibilities - Own and evolve the entire testing lifecycle—strategy, tools, coverage, and automation ROI. - Build scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and microservices. - Implement quality gates across SDLC and drive shift-left testing practices. - Implement performance, non-functional, and cross-browser testing initiatives. - Partner with Dev and DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. - Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, stability, and developer confidence. - Review test code, and guide debugging and root cause analysis. Requirements - 4-6 years of experience in QA automation and engineering. - Problem-Solving & DSA: Solves entry-level algorithmic problems with optimized time/space complexity, using the right data structures, demonstrating strong analytical thinking and applying OOP for extensible automation code. - Test Automation: Expertise in Selenium automation (Webdrivers, Xpath, CSS Selectors), proficient in UI & API automation, and experienced in Automation Framework Development. - Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of STLC, Test Management, Test Strategy, Test Coverage, and various Test Frameworks, including release processes. Proven experience developing reusable test frameworks from scratch. - Manual Testing: Competence in performing comprehensive manual tests. - Communication: Clearly articulates thought processes and problem-solving approaches. - Ownership & Collaboration: Demonstrates ownership, and effective teamwork - Hands-on with tools like Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or similar for UI/API/performance testing. - Experience in CI/CD pipelines, test strategy planning, and automation architecture. - Strong debugging and defect analysis skills in distributed systems. Key Skills & Competencies Core Engineering & Problem Solving - Programming & DSA: Strong grasp of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) with the ability to solve algorithmic problems, optimize for time/space complexity, and apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to write clean, extensible automation code. - Architecture & Design: Experience designing highly scalable test architectures and building reusable automation frameworks from scratch. Test Automation & Tooling - UI & API Automation: Deep expertise in Selenium (Webdrivers, Xpath, CSS Selectors), Postman, or similar tools for comprehensive UI and API automation. - Performance Testing: Hands-on experience with JMeter (or similar tools) to drive performance, load, and cross-browser testing initiatives. - Testing Methodologies: Deep understanding of STLC, Test Management, Test Strategy, Test Coverage, and release processes (covering functional, regression, and non-functional testing). - Manual Testing: Competence in performing comprehensive, exploratory manual tests when necessary, balancing automated and manual strategies. DevOps & Infrastructure - CI/CD Integration: Proven experience partnering with Dev and DevOps teams to seamlessly integrate automation suites and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines. - Distributed Systems Debugging: Strong defect analysis and debugging skills to trace issues and identify root causes across complex, distributed microservices architectures.
