JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports Digital is looking for a Manager of Content Distribution to join the editorial team and help redefine the app and website experience. You will help the Senior Manager of Content Distribution oversee all O&O content distribution for the biggest events and moments in sports with an emphasis on FOX, FS1, and league partners. The Manager of Content Distribution will have a focus on creating the best experience possible for sports fans as they come to both the FOX Sports App and FOXSports.com. Additional responsibilities include being data-driven in all content decisions, having an emphasis on internal reporting and metrics keeping, to maximize opportunities across all priorities.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program content on the FOX Sports app and website uses relevant data and priority considerations
  • Grow audience and increase time spent on the FOX Sports app and website by working with editorial leads to identify premium content and apply a hyperfocus to its distribution with the fan in mind
  • Create distribution plans with long-lead timing for the biggest events on the calendar for FOX Sports
  • Help guide tentpole event coverage and wide-scale planning in coordination for FOX Sports' "Biggest Bets," including the 2026 Men’s World Cup, NFC Championship and Super Bowl, Indy 500, Ohio State-Michigan, the World Series, and more
  • Make content recommendations based on insights and data in collaboration with editorial decision-makers
  • Write and edit live blogs across multiple sports, including the NFL, college football, MLB, and soccer
  • Write stories around FOX and FS1 shows, podcasts, and other digital shows
  • Collaborate with fellow editors and writers, as well as members of social, programming, video, podcast, and FS1 teams
  • Work side-by-side with leaders of the Product team to enhance the user experience and increase the time fans spend on our O&O products
  • Build bridges with our social team, screening team, design team, production team, and more to ensure that we are maximizing the audience for our content
  • Help lead push alert strategy and analyze data to evaluate strategic decision-making

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5+ years of experience in audience engagement, editing, social, newsletters, and/or relevant experience in a newsroom environment
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports and interns
  • Strong interest in and knowledge of sports across verticals
  • Strong interest and knowledge of FOX Sports properties, shows, and on-air talent
  • Ability to work quickly under the pressure of a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to be flexible and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $92,000.00-113,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
