The Final Assembly Manufacturing Engineer will perform Manufacturing Engineer roles and responsibilities for advanced feasibility and planning execution throughout program development milestones.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical OR Industrial preferred)
- 10+ years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Production Assembly experience is preferred
- Supplier project management skills preferred
- CPARS/MEARS/Ariba experience preferred
- RSLogix 5, 500, 5000; RSView and Factory Talk knowledge preferred
- Vision systems preferred
- FIS/IIOT reports (running and analyzing) preferred
- Competency in MTTR/MTBF preferred
- Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Global Manufacturing Standard (GMS) and Vehicle Operation Structure Standard (VOSS)
- Industry standards – NFPA70E, NFPA79, ANSI, SAE HS-1738, UL 508A
- Knowledge of IT systems (AVS, EP, FIS, Networks) preferred
- Implementation of Error-proofing
- Problem solving skills using statistics (6 Sigma Black Belt preferred)
- Ability to lead 8D
- MS Office Application competency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Project Management skills (PMP preferred)
- Systems Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical) skills preferred

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.

What you'll do:
- Create, modify and update program specific process sheets
- DPA5
- Perform checks
- Raise part/process issues as identified to program
- Re-perform checks as D&R's CAD matures through UNV2
- Support in establishing virtual build sequence
- P-Release
- Complete design phase Health Chart assessments
- PFMEA creation and updates to support Conformance Letter
- Support Special Characteristics Cascade and Agreement Form (SCCAF) development and sign-off
- Support virtual build
- Develop program cost analysis (Vignette through PA)
- Define tooling needs
- DC and pneumatic tooling
- Fixtured tooling and lift assists
- Identify ergo tooling needs
- Major equipment and / or automation needs
- Pallets, details and subassembly build-up conveyance
- Error proofing
- Support cycle line layout development
- Support work station engineering work stream
- Support simulation development (provide benchmark data for equipment availability, MTTR, and MTBF)
- Master schedule adherence
- Work with the Facility team to identify needs
- Develop tooling design and build SOW's Process RFQ's & supplier PO kick-off (re-assign PO's to PI team at FDJ) Lead pre-FDJ shop buy-offs
