In this position...

The Industrial Engineer supports plant operations by developing, implementing, and maintaining labor standards, optimized work methods, and efficient production processes. This role ensures safe, ergonomic, and cost‑effective manufacturing operations that meet quality, productivity, and throughput targets for current and future vehicle programs.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 3+ Years of experience as Industrial Engineer in a Manufacturing Plant environment

Even better, you may have...

  • 4+ Years of experience as Industrial Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • MODAPTS Certification
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified
  • Previous production supervision experience

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.

What you'll do...

  • Develop, validate, and maintain direct and indirect labor standards.

  • Conduct time studies, motion studies, and MODAPTS analysis to establish accurate cycle times.

  • Monitor manpower utilization, line balance efficiency, and labor allocation.

  • Review daily manpower needs and recommend adjustments for efficient staffing.

  • Analyze constraints and conduct cycle time analysis to improve flow and throughput.

  • Lead changes to workstation layouts, work balance, tooling, material presentation, and process documentation.

  • Perform ergonomic evaluations and recommend workstation improvements.

  • Identify waste‑reduction and efficiency‑improvement opportunities to support plant business targets.

  • Partner with Production, Maintenance, and other plant teams to resolve job‑related issues.

  • Collaborate with UAW representatives to address job disputes related to methods and standards.

  • Assist production leadership with labor planning for mix changes and line‑speed adjustments.

  • Evaluate and respond to employee station improvement suggestions.
