Are you a seasoned leader passionate about powertrain On-Board Diagnostics, robustness, and quality? Ford Motor Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Propulsion Systems and OBD Core Manage to lead our global team in developing and releasing best-in-class On-Board Diagnostic calibrations for ICE and HEV applications. You'll have...

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in Powertrain Systems Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in On-Board Diagnostics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues across multiple programs effectively and efficiently.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with a proven track record of guiding teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a challenging environment.
  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills.

Even better, you may have...

  • 10+ years of experience in Powertrain Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in On-Board Diagnostics.
  • Master of Science (MS) or Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

  • Global OBD Calibration Leadership: Manage a department responsible for the development, sign-off, and release of On-Board Diagnostic calibrations for gas, diesel, and hybrid applications across our global product portfolio.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all software and calibration efforts are aligned with critical regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate extensively with hardware and software teams to deliver integrated OBD excellence.

  • Emissions & OBD Compliance: Partner with aftertreatment systems teams to deliver calibrations that are emissions and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) compliant, while also meeting catalyst cost targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead cross-functional Powertrain Systems Tech Teams to improve systemic challenges on high leverage OBD monitors like Catalyst, Misfire, and Fuel/Evap.
