In this position... 

The position will entail the development of XR applications to support visualization use-cases as well as support of internal engineering translation services. Leveraging project management, CAD support, data translation knowledge, and/or related experience, the ideal candidate will integrate solutions with an internally developed visualization suite including Autodesk VRED, Unity, Unreal, and WebGL while helping to maintain the data translation pipeline enabling 3D data to be shared between software.

Develop and support methodologies for effective integration, visualization, and dissemination of 3D data sources

Stay current with immersive technology and software development trends

Develop engineering and technical documentation

Lead the development and prototyping of hardware and software-based solutions

You'll have...

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Game Design/Development, or a similar field
• Minimum 2 years of professional/academic software development or engineering experience
• Programming generalist, with experience in some/all the following: C#, C++, JS, Python, VBA
• Team-based software development, troubleshooting, and deployment
• Extended Reality (XR) application development
• Knowledge of CAD programs and data translation services
• Demonstrate superb communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Comfortable with communicating at all levels in the company
• Extensive knowledge of Unreal with Blueprinting experience

 

Even better, if you have …

Preferred

• Autodesk VRED
• WebGL
• Arduino/Microcontrollers
• Familiarity with 3D CAD applications, primarily CATIA
• Familiarity with PLM applications
• Familiarity with data translation software such as PiXYZ and Theorem
• Game engine performance optimization – 3D data decimation, LODs, data culling, etc.
• Graphics programming – rendering, shader scripting, OpenGL, etc.
• Have operated 3D printers and similar equipment
• Have Unity experience

This position is a salary grade 7 - 8 and ranges from $84,480 - 162,120.
