- thermal management.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction, take initiative, and independently drive complex projects from concept to completion.
- Expert-level proficiency in Embedded C programming and development for microcontroller-based systems, including deep understanding of memory constraints, performance optimization, and robust error handling.
- High proficiency in Python programming for scripting, automation, data analysis, and developing tooling for embedded systems.
- Strong foundational and applied background in classical and modern control theory, system dynamics, and heat transfer principles, for complex, real-world problems.
- Highly collaborative with exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing technical direction and mentoring peers.
- Extensive experience with project and issue tracking systems like JIRA/Confluence.
- Extensive hands-on experience in microcontroller hardware bring-up from scratch, low-level system debugging, and code optimization.
- Expertise in memory management techniques, interrupt handling, and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) in embedded environments.
- Solid knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit analysis and design.
Even better, you may have...
- A strong understanding of linear systems, advanced state-estimation techniques, and observers.
- Proven experience architecting, designing, and implementing complex thermal control algorithms (e.g., for HVAC, battery, powertrain) directly in Embedded C on embedded systems.
- Deep familiarity with refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Prior experience with vehicle-level calibration, integration, and testing of embedded control systems.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols and stacks (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS) and embedded cybersecurity.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of microcontroller peripherals (ADC, GPIO, PWM, SPI), advanced sensor integration, and digital signal processing.
- Experience with large-scale data management tools and leveraging fleet data for algorithm design and optimization.
- Experience developing control algorithms for thermal systems using modeling tools (e.g., Python or similar) for simulation and analysis.
