The primary responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
- Coach team members on Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met by adhering to standardized work.
- Optimize production throughput in alignment with budget and cost objectives.
- Monitor ANDON (a system to notify production issues) occurrences and serve as the initial responder for secondary support.
- Verify the production line's safe and smooth operation, and its output of quality parts, through Process Confirmation.
- Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) initiatives and coach problem resolution at the lowest possible level.
- Meet targets for First Time Through (FTT), inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expenses.
- Build the capability of both Team Leaders and Team Members.
- Create a conducive work environment that enables teams to complete their assigned responsibilities and tasks.
- Ensure effective communication and recognition within the team.
- Perform basic administration of supervisory duties and documentation.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (CAEC)
Experience:
2+ years’ experience working in Production lines.
1+ years’ experience working with and supervising unionized workforce and understanding of CBA (collective bargaining agreement)
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Availability to work in shifts (morning/afternoon/evening) as required.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).
Experience:
Experience in body shop, stamping, paint, subassembly, or machining preferred.
Safety and Quality experience preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining experience (specific to Power Take-Off).
Helium leak stand experience (specific to Power Take-Off).
Adept problem-solving and conflict management skills.
Effective organizational and administrative capabilities.
This posting is for an existing vacancy within our team. This is a supplemental role (non-permanent) but full-time hours are offered.
The hourly salary range for this position is $35.75/hour to $51.21/hour.
