At F5, we strive to bring a better digital world to life. Our teams empower organizations across the globe to create, secure, and run applications that enhance how we experience our evolving digital world. We are passionate about cybersecurity, from protecting consumers from fraud to enabling companies to focus on innovation.

Everything we do centers around people. That means we obsess over how to make the lives of our customers, and their customers, better. And it means we prioritize a diverse F5 community where each individual can thrive.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will contribute to the strategy, design, and evolution of our enterprise infrastructure and security architecture across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. You will work on end-to-end architecture spanning network infrastructure, cloud platforms, security controls, and infrastructure automation—ensuring resilience, scalability, and alignment with business objectives while maintaining a strong security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the enterprise architecture roadmap for infrastructure and security systems spanning Azure, AWS, GCP, and on-premises data centers.
  • Design network architecture patterns including segmentation, Zero Trust frameworks, software-defined networking, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
  • Collaborate with Security, Platform Engineering, and Application teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure infrastructure solutions.
  • Support the development of architectural standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for infrastructure-as-code, automation, and security controls.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies including cloud-native security, infrastructure automation, and observability platforms to enhance operational efficiency and security posture.
  • Participate in vendor assessments, build vs. buy decisions, and technology rationalization initiatives for infrastructure and security tooling.
  • Work with senior architects to guide cross-functional delivery teams on complex implementations and migrations.
  • Support infrastructure modernization initiatives including cloud migration strategies, datacenter consolidation, and legacy system decommissioning.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience with deep focus on infrastructure and security domains.
  • Deep expertise in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
  • Strong networking background including routing/switching, load balancing, firewalls, VPN/SD-WAN, and network segmentation strategies.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools and automation frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across business and IT organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing and implementing Zero Trust architecture and identity-centric security models.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git Ops practices, and platform engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), service mesh, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Background in security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with observability platforms, SRE practices, and infrastructure cost optimization.
  • Knowledge of hybrid identity solutions, privileged access management, and secrets management platforms.
