Position Summary:

This position is responsible for building expertise in designing automation solutions to test high-scale distributed systems. You will make a meaningful impact by collaborating with Architects, SRE and application development teams to vet and validate test automation for our edge computing platform that is used to deploy global, scalable and secure applications

Primary Responsibilities

• Technically lead the Engineering team and drive feature deliveries

• Going through the PRDs, driving test plan, reviews, feature execution and automation.

• Coverage on Performance and Scaling aspects of the product.

• Coverage on Solution aspects of the service.

• Feature ownership and assisting the support team on customer issues.

• Contributing and leading the technical execution across releases.

• Driving regression runs and analysis of delivered features

• Demonstrate strong mentoring abilities to guide and support team members

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience in designing automation software from the ground up, choosing the right infrastructure components, evaluating both open source and closed source software.

• Strong working knowledge of testing fundamentals.

• Hands on experience in languages such as Golang, Python, Perl, Shell scripts etc. Good understanding of CDN topology(caching, purge, compression, proxy, HTTP request / response headers)

• Good understanding of Virtualization technologies like KVM, Docker.

• Good understanding of computer networking (routing/switching) concepts, network security, HTTP Load balancers, proxies like Envoy/Nginx etc.

• Good understanding of L4/L7 protocols like TCP / UDP / TLS / DNS / HTTP

• Good understanding of Web/App security technologies like WAF, API security, L7 DDoS etc.

• Working knowledge of Cloud orchestration systems such as Openstack/Kubernetes.

• Experience working on well-known clouds like AWS/Azure/GCP would be a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal, team building, and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree
